GREY WATER TREATMENT SYSTEMS
Less polluted household wastewater from showers, bathtubs and sinks that does not contain septic tank waste is called 'Grey Water'. By treating grey water, water that is not of drinking water quality and intended for use can be obtained.
Nowadays, wastewater is divided into black water and gray water. Since gray water has low nutrient levels, the cost of treatment is low and it does not need complementary disinfection after treatment.
Gray water has a characteristic changing structure, which is formed as a result of domestic activities, in direct proportion to the number of people residing in the house, the standard of living of people, social and cultural habits and the chemicals used in the house. Gray water from the sink, shower and bathtub in the bathroom is the least contaminated source of grey water.
The water recovered by grey water treatment systems can be used in toilet reservoirs, general cleaning works, car washing, cooling tower feeding and garden irrigation.
